The debate is not simply “AI good” versus “AI bad.”
- Asking AI to explain a bug is different from generating the finished artwork.
- Helpful tools can still be trained on artists’ work without permission.
- A polished result does not tell you how it was made.
- Labels help people choose, but fuzzy rules and false reports can hurt creators.
- More uploads can bury careful work, even when nobody can reliably detect AI.
So ask what the AI actually did, what the human contributed, whether the process is disclosed, and whether the work is being shown honestly. One yes-or-no checkbox cannot answer all of that.
